WAYS TO PAY
No cash? No problem! Shoppers can swipe a credit, debit, or EBT card in exchange for wooden tokens that act like currency at the market. Tokens never expire, so shoppers can keep what they don't use for more shopping later.
During the summer of 2021, market shoppers in Weymouth spent $26,101 in wooden tokens. This money went directly into the hands of Massachusetts' farms and small businesses.
SNAP, HIP & FARM TO FAMILY
Massachusetts's Healthy Incentives Program (HIP) helps SNAP shoppers buy more fruits and vegetables at our participating HIP farms.
Our Farm to Family (Token) Program helps you buy more of everything else! We DOUBLE your SNAP dollars up to $20 each market. That's an additional $20 FREE each week above and separate from your HIP limit.
PARTNERS & CONTRIBUTORS
The Weymouth Farmers Market is coordinated by the Town of Weymouth and funded in partnership with the Weymouth Food Pantry and Mass in Motion, an initiative of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, and supported by a grant of the USDA’s Farmers Market Promotion Program.
